Many individuals and groups have made pilgrimages to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pahang, to enter through the Holy Door of Mercy. This parish is one of the five designated Pilgrim Churches for the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur in the Extraordinary Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy.
Recently, a group of Catholics from Kuala Lumpur visited the Church. They prayed before entering the Holy Door. The Scripture text was taken from John 10:7-10 where Jesus said that He is the gate (door) for the sheep, in order to make it clear that no one can come to the Father except through Him. Thus, to pass through the door means to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to strengthen faith in Him in order to live the new life which He has given us.
After entering the Church, the pilgrims prayed in silence, focusing on the Lord. They then said the Prayer of Intercession, the Holy Year of Mercy Prayer and the concluding reflection and ended with a hymn to Our Lady.
