VBCM offers Condolences on the Passing of His Holiness Pope Francis

The Vajrayana Buddhist Council of Malaysia (VBCM) expresses our heartfelt condolences to the Catholic community in Malaysia and around the world on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.

His Holiness will be remembered as a moral leader of great humility, compassion, and courage. Throughout his papacy, he stood as a global voice for the poor, the marginalized, and the planet. He tirelessly promoted interfaith dialogue, mutual understanding, and the shared values that unite all religious traditions—compassion, peace, and respect for the dignity of all beings.

Pope Francis extended a hand of friendship across faiths and was a symbol of hope in a time of division. His efforts to build bridges between communities remain an enduring legacy that inspires us all.

We offer our prayers and thoughts to our Catholic brothers and sisters during this time of mourning. May His Holiness rest in peace, and may his vision of a more compassionate and united humanity continue to shine.
