In these days of ‘liturgical wars’ in sacred music, there seems to be quite a big divide in Catholic culture. On the extreme ends, there are those who could be labelled as ‘conservatives’, who want to see the Mass go back to its traditional roots of Latin, Chant, very traditional hymnody and psalmody with only organ playing.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops reminds us that while the Easter Vigil is the "mother of all vigils," and that Easter Sunday is "the greatest of all Sundays," Easter doesn't end there. While joyful, it is not just a celebration of one day. It lasts 50 days and it is "the most important of all liturgical times."

On the feast of Easter Sunday, we see that the long Lenten fast has been worthwhile. For 40 days we purged our souls of mortal desires, and watched them slowly fill up with Christ. We celebrate that fulfillment on Easter Sunday, newly grateful for the sacrifice.

The Nicene Creed and the Apostles’ Creed are summary statements of what Christians believe. Although the wording in these two creeds is somewhat different – the Nicene Creed is longer – they express the same essential beliefs of the faith.
